Intentions

What is the purpose of this website?

Welcome to the Marine Beacon consultation platform!

This is a forum open to anyone who has an interest in issues around the bycatch of protected, vulnerable and threatened marine species.

We invite you to share your knowledge and ideas in debates on how to reduce the accidental capture of marine species across the North East Atlantic Ocean.

These debates will be informed by the latest science from Marine Beacon partners, other European research institutions, and insights from the fishing industry.

The goal of this platform is to facilitate open and honest discussions. This will help us find agreements that consider economic, social, and environmental factors.

Your input is vital. It will help us to capture a wide range of voices and help us find the best ways to reduce bycatch. We look forward to your contributions.
